A bit of useless quality time
Week days can be super exhausting for us as we manage to pack in a full work week with our family life, professional life and personal life. Taking an intentional ten minutes on the weekend mornings or on your days off is highly recommended. This time is not only a personal one on one with yourself but also a time to reflect on your week without overthinking things. Reading a book, sipping on your favorite cup of tea or coffee, listening to soothing music with your eyes closed will kickstart your weekend or days off (depending on your work schedule). Feeling relaxed and ready to face the rest of the day will make you feel happier and well rested. Personally, making myself a pot of peppermint tea and putting my phone away is one of my weekend rituals. Slowing down might seem like you are wasting time by not doing anything but you are actually allowing your body to relax and rest a little. There is nothing wrong with ten minutes of not doing anything. Remember, if you are healthy and alive, life is good!
